Ellison keynotes Minnesota Justice Forum on employment issues for ex-offenders

St. Paul, Sept. 29, 2008 – Rep. Keith Ellison will speak about the federal Second Chance Act and re-entry activity at a national level at the 2008 Minnesota Justice Forum, “Employing a new strategy: Enhancing public safety and reducing cost by increasing access to employment for individuals with criminal records,” on Monday, Oct. 6, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Policymakers and community leaders will come together at the Minnesota History Center to build on existing efforts to create a targeted, coordinated, statewide approach to passing effective legislation increasing employment opportunities for people with criminal records during the 2009 Minnesota legislative session.
