The Belle of Baton Rouge Casino said today it is planning to reopen its riverboat casino that closed this past Sunday due to Hurricane Gustav. The casino plans to operate from 7am to 6pm starting Friday, September 4, 2008. The casino will return to its normal 24-hour operation as soon as possible, but definitely not before East Baton Rouge Parish’s 8pm to 6am curfew is lifted.

Belle of Baton Rouge Casino to Reopen Following Hurricane Gustav

BATON ROUGE, La., September 4, 2008

The Belle of Baton Rouge Casino said today it is planning to reopen its riverboat casino that closed this past Sunday due to Hurricane Gustav. The casino plans to operate from 7am to 6pm starting Friday, September 4, 2008. The casino will return to its normal 24-hour operation as soon as possible, but definitely not before East Baton Rouge Parish’s 8pm to 6am curfew is lifted.

The Casino and Sheraton Baton Rouge Convention Center Hotel staff is asked to contact their supervisor directly or call (225) 242-2610. Also, employees may pick up their paychecks on Friday, September 4, 2008 in the Livingston ballroom of the Atrium.
