Institute of Management Consultants Explore How to Ethically Manage in Tough Times

Denver, Colo. (December 14, 2009) -- The Colorado chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants kicks-off 2010 with a special program helping executives and consultants manage ethically in today’s challenging business environment. The Friday, January 15, 2010 breakfast meeting at the Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place, runs from 7-9am and is open to the public. The Program, “Ethical Misconduct and Cures of the Financial Crisis: A Management Perspective on the Great Recession,” will be highly interactive and will explore:
•How a code of ethics helps us manage through ethical dilemmas

Kevin O’Brien. Dr. Kevin O'Brien, chair and an associate professor in the Department of Business Ethics and Legal Studies, Daniels College of Business, University of Denver, is one of the nation’s foremost authorities on Business Ethics and Values-Based Leadership. In the classroom, he analyzes key executive decisions from many perspectives: ethical, professional, international, public policy, and legal points of view in his course, "Ethics for the 21st Century Professional." As an attorney, CPA, and an IRS revenue agent, he has wide experience in civil and criminal investigations, and has published and lectured extensively on professional ethics. He is known as one of the leading experts in Sarbanes-Oxley issues as well as corporate whistle-blowing and the law throughout the country.
