October 12, 2006 (Los Angeles) --"American Daddy�A Father’s Heart Revealed," a deeply moving and dramatic photo essay depicting the power of father-child relationships, will be released by author and publisher Gabriel Pelino in a book signing ceremony on October 19 in Pasadena.
"American Daddy�A Father’s Heart Revealed" captures the essence of relationships between fathers and their sons through dramatic and sensitive photography. Such displays weave together compelling, heartfelt stories of what it truly means to be a father. "American Daddy�A Father’s Heart Revealed" uncovers the sensitivity and strength of devoted dads, such celebrating the love of fathers, magic of childhood, and the bond between the two. This coffee-table book includes 35 artistic and poignant black and white photos from award-winning photographer Cynthia Leal. She captures the tender, precious moments that fathers share with their children. Alongside each captivating image is a candid and heartfelt story from the man in the photo, revealing what being a father uniquely means to him.
An all-star cast of actors, actresses and elected officials will join Pelino for the book signing. Among them are actor Kevin Soboro (Hercules, Andromeda, Walking Tall 2, Walking Tall 3, Last Chance Café). He is the newest spokesperson for the Afterschool Alliance, a national non-profit organization working to give all children access to safe, enriching after-school programs by the year 2010. Other celebrities will include actor Eric Lutes (Caroline & the City, The 12 Dogs of Christmas, CSI Miami, The Sweet Life of Zack & Cody), actress Christina Fulton (E!s Help Wanted 90210, author and writer, mother of Nicholas Cage’s eldest son, Weston); and Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, the first Mexican-American woman to be elected to Congress.
The book signing will be held at Vive Dining and Lounge, 61 N. Raymond Ave., Pasadena, Ca. from 7-10 PM. Books can be ordered from www.americandaddy.net or purchased at the signing.
