Posted to MediaSyndicate.com (May 19, 2005 - 05:32 PM) : “Stories for a Stormy Night, Vol. 1 is a book that needs to be read. It includes two novellas for the price of one and delivers a powerful message worthy of note.

From “The Fear-o-lots, both young adults and parent alike will derive great benefit. The first lesson they will garner teaches that to avoid serious misunderstanding in the family circle, it becomes absolutely paramount to keep lines of communication open. Another prime tenet, which one clearly comes away with, centers on the fact that it is not enough for parents to provide for the material well-being of their offspring, but the emotional needs are just as necessary to consider and cater to. Finally, by witnessing the heroic escapades of the three main characters, the lesson of working together and never giving up comes shining through loud and clear.
The strange assortment of characters in this novella will fascinate and delight. And the fast-paced action is sure to keep the reader turning the pages till the tale is fully done.

In “A Sickness by Any Other Name, which is quite the adventure romp as it describes the trails and tribulations of the two main protagonists, the lesson to be learned resounds plain and simple. No matter how overwhelming our problems may seem, they are much easier to deal with if we have support and guidance along the way.

Mr. Fedele’s writing has been described as crisp and imaginative. His ideas soar in scope to those of JK Rowling, and his curt flowing style compares to that of RL Stine or that of Neil Gaiman even.

Much praise has been bestowed on the book. A few quotes follow. Donna Laird writes, “In ‘Stories For A Stormy Night’, Mario S. Fedele has written two great stories to read on a dark night, curled up on the sofa with hot chocolate and a blanket to cover your head at times. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of this author’s work. Another comment comes from Vicky Stowers, “I had a great time reading ‘Stories for a Stormy Night’. What an imagination this author has! Along the same lines, Pat Shanahan indicates, “Mr. Fedele certainly has a talent for crafting words into mental images. And LaDonna B Hawkins aptly adds, “This author’s work is both original and intriguing.
